The best heating or air conditioning upgrade is the option that offers the outstanding comfort and consumes minimal energy. Time after time when we are called to upgrade heating or air conditioning equipment we find that a more energy efficient option can be utilized if minor insulation upgrades are performed. For example by installing more insulation in an attic we may be able to install a new furnace that consumes 30% less energy. With this in mind we have increasingly encouraged all of our customers to utilize our energy audit service. The costs are reasonable ($300.00 for a standard sized home) and the potential savings are huge. We deduct the cost of the audit from any work that we perform or the report can be used as a specification for getting bids from other contractors.
